Berry Kefir Protein Smoothie Recipe

A simple and tasty probiotic, protein and nutrient packed smoothie. Probiotics are essential for our gut health. The antioxidants, protein and micronutrients are vital to keep our bodies generating the necessary energy to keep us healthy and strong. This recipe is simple and easy to prepare…get creative, change up the berries you use, add nutrients you need, take away the ones you may not need. I strive to use all organic components so I can feel confident that I’m not getting any ultra-processed foods and/or chemicals.

Here’s the recipe:

½ Cup Organic Berries (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry)

½ Organic Banana

1-1/2 Cup Organic Grass Fed Kefir

4-6 Organic Brazil nuts

2 Tbsp Organic Chia Seeds (Hemp or Flax seeds work as well)

1 Tbsp Organic Maca Powder

1 Scoop Organic Vanilla Protein Powder

Optional Ice cubes

Put the berries, banana, kefir, Brazil nuts and chia seeds in a blender and run on high till smooth. Add the maca and protein powder and blend until well mixed.

Feeling a bit under the weather, add ½ to 1 tsp of vitamin C powder. Additional flavor can be added using ¼ tsp vanilla extract.
